This dairy transport company picks up milk from two very large milk co-ops and delivers to customers in Conroe and Houston Texas. They have a contract with the Dairy Farmers of America that is automatically renewed annually. Their contract with one of the dairy co-ops is also on an automatic yearly renewal basis.
The company leases a small office that is used as their dispatch center. They also own a fueling station, which is also available with the sale of the company. They use the fueling station to fuel their own trucks, but make if available for outside customers as well.
The owner feels strongly that there are significant opportunities for future growth. As previously mentioned, the company depends heavily on existing contacts, but if marketing efforts were directed toward other suppliers, new business is definitely possible.
The dairy delivery industry is stable. The Company has very little competition in its service area; in fact, there is only one other company in the area that provides essentially the same service.
Will train for 2 weeks @ $0 cost. The new owner of this company would be required to have basic management skills. Unless he or she chose to drive one of the trucks (which the current owner does not do), they would not be required to obtain a commercial driver's license.
