This charming restaurant began operations in 1983. This is a real-life example of a successful “Mom & Pop” enterprise, since the husband/wife ownership team have been there from the very beginning.
The location of the restaurant has been a key contributor to its success. It is situated on a frontage road where four major highways converge into one road before splitting off into several different directions. They have a strong base of local customers, as well as workers and travelers, many of whom have been eating there for decades.
The restaurant is open seven days a week, though the owners recently decided to close on Saturday and Sunday nights in order to be able to spend more time with their family. If a new owner chose to re-open on those nights, it could increase revenues by an estimated 10%. Also, the owners discontinued their catering service. Again, if a new owner chose to provide this service, it could be another source of revenue growth.
The owners have decided to sell simply because after 37 years, it is time to retire.
