This Mental Health Counseling and Therapy office has three therapists (including the owner) with over 30 years of combined experience. The owner works roughly 30 hours per week. Many different types of services are offered including Child, Adolescent, Family, Individual and Couples Therapy. Clients come from many referral sources and each therapist keeps a steady caseload. Counselors pay a portion of be able to office out of the space. In return, they also receive full back-end support.
The office is conveniently located with plenty of parking. The grounds are tranquil and there is relaxing outdoor space adjacent to the office for meditation and reflection. Three offices are being utilized for the current business model, but a fourth could be added for another therapist. The decor is modern and updated and the waiting area is staffed by a receptionist. Efforts are made to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere throughout the space. The office space, which is leased through the end of December 2017, is 980 square feet.
There is room within the current office space to add another full-time therapist. An emphasis on developing connections with referral sources could also result in more business.
Clients within a 150-mile radius of the business travel here from South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota. Competition comes from counselors in other private practices and in agencies.
The owners are ready to retire. They are willing to stay on for a short period of time to assist in client transition.
Will train for 4 weeks @ no cost. A QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) designation is required to authorize mental health committals and is a standard for insurance reimbursement. This isn’t necessary for an owner, but is fairly simple to obtain and will help to maintain an insurance-based revenue stream.
