This successful Saloon and Grill has been a local Landmark Eatery for decades. Its history, charm and atmosphere have come to define Downtown Helena. Many of the furnishings and antiques in the restaurant, collected over the years, are mementos of the city's storied past. The contemporary menu has offerings that have evolved over the years to include many classic dishes that keep customers coming back, as well as new selections for new friends. The Beer Tap selection is the largest in Helena supporting many fine local breweries. There is a classic Sommelier's Wine Bar with great wines from around the world, wonderful appetizers, tapas and exquisite desserts. Lastly, for sports spectators, the restaurant offers Bleachers, a modern, totally equipped Pub that has become a destination for viewing popular sporting events with friends. Montana has recorded low numbers of pandemic cases because of its aggressive lock-down policies. As these rules are relaxed, business will return to normal in the next few months and patrons will come back to enjoy the features of this restaurant.
The business occupies a city-center, two story building of about 10,000 sq. ft. with a corner entrance on the main street of Historic Downtown. The premises feature main-floor dining, 2nd-floor Bleachers Sports Pub and outside patio dining where you can sit back and relax with friends and watch the world go by. It also features a full half block of parking in the rear. The space has been remodeled several times in the past including upgraded electrical, plumbing, cooling, awnings, windows and woodwork. Furnishings are up-to-date and in excellent condition.
An experienced restaurateur will see the potential for growth after a brief tour of Downtown Helena. Recently a national accounting firm established their offices less than a block away from the business. Being the state capital, Helena naturally attracts federal and state government personnel and business travelers. But there's solid growth in the tourist trade as people learn more about the cultural offerings in Helena and stay at the nearby hotels.
Helena is becoming a regional center for dining and entertainment and attracting people from rural areas. In addition, more people are moving into the city center and want better cuisine than was offered in the past. Local entrepreneurs are meeting the increased demand, as establishments position themselves, sometimes with new ownership. This energy is creating a dynamic, vibrant atmosphere for experimentation.
The owner would like to retire to pursue other ventures.
Will train for 6 weeks @ $4,000. A new owner should be a passionate, experienced restaurateur. Supplier relationships, a management team and recipes are in place for continued success, as well as one of the few Beer & Wine Licenses in the county.
