This is a 40 bed residential care facility providing care for people with many different circumstances. The residents at the facility are treated like family and the staff’s main goal is to make them feel loved and cared for. The facility provides a resource for people in the community, the county and beyond that generally have very few options when it comes to a safe place to live. The facility has been in operation serving the area with kindness and pride for more than 20 years.
This business operates from a standalone facility located in a quiet residential area on the southern edge of a small community in Southwest Missouri. The building was constructed in 1996 specifically for the purpose of housing this facility. The layout lends itself to efficiency as one side of the facility houses the women and the other side houses the men. In the middle is the kitchen, dining area, laundry, pharmacy, office and community room. The facility also has a nice patio area in the back as well as a fenced in yard where residents can relax and enjoy the outdoors when the weather permits. The facility sits on a 1.37 acre piece of land that is roughly rectangular in shape. The building itself is one level which lends itself to excellent accessibility for any residents that have physical disabilities or that are simply older and can’t get around as well. The building is just less than 13,000 square feet and has been built out with specifications appropriate for a residential care facility including a sprinkler system and security system with coded entry and exit doors. There are 17 bedrooms in the building, each with its own bathroom. The exterior is brick and the parking lot is asphalt and has 23 spaces. A recent appraisal of the building and property resulted in a value of $1,450,000.
There are not a large number of these types of facilities in the entire state, much less the immediate area. There are other facilities around but they are either lower quality as far as the physical facility and amenities are concerned or private pay facilities that are not an option for the residents that need to be placed. This is another reason that this business is in a great spot as far as continuing to be at full capacity moving forward. While there are other facilities that compare in many ways, the state has a continuous supply of residents that need to be placed and therefore all of the residential care facilities continue to have residents.
Business partner passed away in 2019. Current owner would like to move on from ownership of the business.
Will train for 2 weeks @ no cost This facility is licensed as a residential care facility in Webster County in the state of Missouri. A residential care facility provides an option for those residents that need more care than a retirement community offers but not the full time medical assistance provided by skilled nursing facilities. One thing to note is that many of the residents are not senior citizens. They may just have some sort of mental or physical disability that keeps them from being able to perform certain tasks and living on their own is not a realistic option. Most of the residents live in semi-private rooms which means that they have a roommate. None of the rooms accommodate more than two residents. There is the option for private rooms but this is a small portion of the current residency. The business is required to have a licensed RN on staff.
