The Hotel is celebrating it's 110th birthday. It was originally built as a hospital for gold prospectors and miners who flocked to the town of Cripple Creek, Colorado. The Hotel St Nicholas is listed on the National Historic Register, and offers a panoramic view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and downtown Cripple Creek. It is located just two blocks from Cripple Creek casinos and historic attractions. Guests may relax in the in-door dry sauna or retreat to one of the 15 elegant rooms. All rooms capture the atmosphere of turn-of-the-century Cripple Creek, and all of the rooms have one thing in common -nostalgia for a romantic time gone by. Another amenity is the convenient town shuttle to Cripple Creek casinos. The Hotel's main floor features the Boiler Room Tavern, which periodically features live music.
