This coffee/tea house and café continues the great tradition of the independently owned neighborhood coffee house. This was one of the first coffee houses in Milwaukee and a long-time East Side favorite. It has been voted runner-up as the best coffee shop in Milwaukee for 3 years in a row and is a great place to mellow out in the bustling Brady Street neighborhood.
Customers can lounge in comfort while enjoying the best coffees, teas, and food on the lower East Side, while using complimentary Wi-Fi Internet service, local art, music, and poetry. Plus the outdoor seating gives you an excellent place to people watch on one of the most interesting streets in Milwaukee.
The coffee house originally opened in 1992 and was purchased by the present owners in 2007. Since then, they expanded the food service by remodeling the kitchen to add a ventilation unit. They began serving hot breakfast food items, along with expanded lunch and dinner options, and received a beer and wine license in 2013
